Who can get a lash lift?
Most people are good candidates for lash lifts, but wouldn’t recommend anyone who is pregnant and in their first trimester. Also those who have skin conditions like blepharitis, eczema, psoriasis, and conjunctivitis should typically stay away from lash lifts, as the perming solution has the potential for irritation.
How long does a lash lift and tint treatment take?
The duration of a lash lift and tint treatment is roughly 50 minutes. Lash naps are encouraged!
What happens during a lash lift appointment?
You will be lying down with your eyes closed throughout the entire service.
It starts by placing a silicone pad on your eyelids. The lashes are then combed over on top of the pad and held in place with an adhesive solution. A perming solution is applied at the root of your lashes to start the reshaping process. Next a neutralizing solution is put on to help strengthen the new curl, and as a final step, your lashes will get a conditioning agent to soften and strengthen your lashes!
Will a lash lift damage your eyelashes?
The short answer: no. A properly executed lash lift should not damage your natural lashes. A lash lift will only damage your lashes if they are over-processed, which will not happen at Lash Lift and Love as I am a certified lash technician.
Can I swim or shower with a lash lift and tint?
Yes, one of the benefits of a lash lift and tint is that it is water-resistant. You can swim, shower, and engage in water-related activities without worrying about compromising the results. However, it is best to avoid excessive exposure to water in the first 24 hours after the treatment to allow the lashes to set fully.
Can you still wear mascara with a lash lift?
You don't need to put away any of your makeup products with lash lifts (except your eyelash curler). So if you want to thicken, lengthen, or define your lashes, you can definitely feel comfortable layering your favorite mascara over your lift.
How long do lash lifts last?
Lash lifts typically last anywhere from four to eight weeks, but the exact duration of your treatment really depends on your lifestyle and lash growth cycle. If you’re someone who's super active, sweats a lot, or wears lots of oil based products, you might find that your lift fades a bit faster.
